Albany overcame a three-run deficit to post a 9-6 victory against Lipan in a District 10-A baseball game Tuesday in Albany.
The Indians (4-3, all district games) led 3-0 after batting in the top of the third and 4-2 after the top of the fourth. Albany (7-0 in district) brought five runs home in the bottom of the fourth.
Trevor Hedeman led Lipan, going 3-for-4 at the plate.
“Great ballgame. Albany hit a major shot to the wall in the fifth inning, and that was the difference in the ballgame, driving in three runs,” said Lipan coach Mike Permenter.
“We left too many runners in scoring position, eight total.”
