Hampered Crusaders roll

Led by Forrest Copenhaver, the Cornerstone Crusaders won at Fort Worth Hill 63-18 Friday.

Copenhaver rushed 10 times for 204 yards and four touchdowns. He was also 8-for-19 for 124 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he had five tackles and an interception.

And he did most of this with an injured hand.

“We only had nine players to begin with,” said Cornerstone coach Bobby Johnson. “One of the nine was sick during the game and could play very little.

“Forrest had his hand smashed between two helmets at the beginning of the game. He asked that his swollen and bloody hand be padded and wrapped so he could continue the game.”

Zach Olson went out with a head injury, said Johnson.
