The Granbury Pirates made short work of visiting South Hills Tuesday, winning 19-0 in a District 7-4A tennis match.

However, the Pirates (7-4, 3-0 in 7-4A) dropped a non-league match against Brock 11-8 at home Wednesday.

“Good match,” said Granbury coach Jeff Bramlett following the loss to 2A power Brock. “Everyone was challenged, and we won our district match, so mission accomplished.”

Brock won seven of nine matches among the boys, while Granbury had a 6-3 edge among the girls. Brock also won a thrilling mixed doubles match, 9-8.
