A 2-0 road loss to Brownwood continued the Granbury Lady Pirates’ soccer woes of late with their fourth consecutive setback.

“I really think they only had two real shots,” said Granbury coach David Winkleman. “But they made them count.

“We had a lot of possessions, most of them. We’re just having trouble finding the goal.”

Granbury (6-7-1) has been outscored 16-1 in its skid.

Granbury has struggled with injuries this season, including to key players Hannah Hiler and Mallory Bersi. Also, Aubrey Caudle was out Tuesday.

Winkleman praised the play of Kelci Slaughter and Tori Mayer.

Granbury wrapped up predistrict at Waxhahahie last night.
