Crawford pulls away from Tolar
The Tolar Lady Rattlers saw a close game slip away late Tuesday night as they fell 49-39 at home to Crawford.
“We played well defensively, but we need to get better at shot selection,” said Lady Rattler coach Benita Carlton.
Tolar (3-3) hit 16 of 42 shots (38 percent), and was only 3-for-13 (23 percent) from 3-point range.
The Lady Rattlers were down by just two points, 34-32, entering the final quarter. Crawford then ended the game with a 15-7 run.
Breanna Rogers led Tolar with 13 points, while Hannah Peregrino came within a point of a double-double (9 points, 11 rebounds). In fact, Peregrino had almost half of her team’s 24 boards.
The Lady Rattlers managed six steals by five different players, but were largely undone by 22 turnovers.
