Cornerstone doubles Trinity

The Cornerstone Crusaders improved to 4-3 this season with a 6-3 victory at Willow Park Trinity Tuesday.

Kyle Hutto led the Crusaders on the mound and at the plate. He pitched a four-hitter, striking out 10, and batting he was 3-for-4.

“Kyle dominated from the mound,” said Cornerstone coach Tyler Johnson.

“This was probably our best win of the year over a quality team. Our defense came through great when we needed it.”

Shortstop Forrest Copenhaver was stellar in leading the defense with three key plays, including a game-ending diving catch.
