Scattered severe thunderstorms may affect Hood and many other counties across North Texas today (Saturday, June 1), according to the National Weather Service in Fort Worth. The hazardous weather outlook notes that in addition to possible thunderstorms, there is a chance of large hail, damaging winds and even an isolated tornado. Thunderstorms are predicted to be ending from north to south this afternoon and tonight. The chance of precipitation here this afternoon is 70 percent. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms tonight.
