Ultralight lands in tree
Port Ridglea resident Ken Horton was driving into Granbury Sunday afternoon after watching the Dallas Cowboys play and saw something he never expected – an aircraft in a tree.
Horton said the ultralight craft appeared to be “pretty well” intact, suspended approximately 8-10 feet off the ground near the runway at the Nassau Bay grass air field southeast of Granbury.
“I said a quiet prayer and was hoping no one was hurt.”
Evidently – and amazingly – there were no injuries reported. One unconfirmed report from another source said that the pilot was not injured.
