The pilot of this Ultralight “Sport” aircraft was trying to pull up out of a landing Friday afternoon at Granbury Regional Airport when the engine “lost power,” and brought the two-seater to the ground in a field southwest of the airport, DPS Senior Trooper Dub Gillum noted. The pilot and lone occupant, 38-year-old Paul Easley of Dublin, was not injured, Gillum said. Airport manager Gary Hawkins said the pilot was performing some “touch-and-go” practice landings when the engine power dropped. The incident was reported to 911 at about 3:10 p.m.
