A fight between two male students Tuesday in a hallway at Granbury High School was short-lived and resulted in only a minor injury, officials said.
A parent of one of the boys transported him to a medical facility for treatment.
Granbury Police Department officers responded to the incident, which was first reported at 12:12 p.m. Deputy Chief Alan Hines said, “No charges will be filed at this time.”
Hines said one of the boys is 15, but the age of the other student involved was uncertain. When asked about the cause of the fight and whether it could have been gang-related, Hines said, “The cause of the fight appears some sort of misunderstanding; however it was not gang related.”
Jeff Meador, GISD public information officer, said he had no comment on any specific disciplinary action that may be taken, but stated, “The high school administration is taking appropriate action consistent with the Parent-Student Handbook and the Student Code of Conduct.”
