Pumpkins take center stage at the annual Harvest Moon festival on the square this weekend.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Entries are due at the Historic Granbury Merchants Association booth Saturday by 9 a.m. for the Cooking with Pumpkin Contest, the Decorated Pumpkin Contest and the Decorated Scarecrow Contest.
Categories in the cooking contest include breads, cakes, cookies and miscellaneous dishes.
Children under 13 are eligible for the decorated pumpkin contest also at 9 Saturday morning.
Adults and youth will compete in the decorated scarecrow contest.
Vendor booths on the square will be open both days.
The Old Gas Engine/Tractor Show display is planned at Lambert Branch Park from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
