Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the most handsome of them all?
Handsome Hunks of Hood County returns to Granbury with a dozen men vying for the title.
The fun-filled event takes place Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Granbury Resort Conference Center, 621 E. Pearl St., and features specialty desserts for those attending.
But the “Handsome Hunk” won’t be the only winner at this fundraiser for Ruth’s Place. A Community Foundation grant will be matching every dollar raised with 50 cents – up to $25,000.
“This is a great opportunity for Ruth’s Place,” said Toni Brown-Belew, executive director of United Way of Hood County.
Ruth’s Place provides a variety of services for low-income families.
This year’s hunky line-up includes:
Dr. Romeo Bachand
Dr. Bradley Hart
Cris Brichetto
Nin Hulett
Roger Arbabi
Matt Frye
Dr. Kerry Schindler
Charles Somervill
Blaze Pendleton
Danny Webb
Gary Couch

The event gets started with musical entertainment by the Heather Roberts Band, followed by the Hunk Dancers – also known as previous contestants in the pageant. The dancers include Jared Stone, Brian Thomas, Pat Wilson, Dr. Justus Peters, Dr. Bruce Wadley, Craig DeWitt, Cutter Thompson, Kevin Myers and Mickey Parson.
The Hunks will be judged in casual attire and business attire. And to keep the memories with you, special calendars are available featuring portraits of the “hunky” contestants.
Those attending will be able to bid for a date with a hunk. The men participating in the date auction include Keith Morrison, Bryan Dias, Matt Frye and Brady Pendleton.
A raffle and live auction are also included in the fun.
Judges for the Hunks competition include Kylee Peterson, Martha Pyron, Shirley Graves, Kathy Mobly and Claudette Lewis.
