A choke hold that could be compared to those used in pro wrestling led to a 26-year-old Hood County man being arrested for assaulting his male roommate, a Sheriff’s Office spokesman said.
Uriah Chad Coats was arrested on the felony count of assault house member/impede breathing after deputies responded to the 5900 block of Georgia Trail in the Lake Granbury Harbor subdivision northeast of Granbury about 4 p.m. on Oct. 1, according to Lt. Johnny Rose.
Coats “had assaulted his 40-year-old male roommate by placing him in a choke hold during an argument and scuffle,” Rose stated, adding that they were arguing over the older roommate moving out.
The victim was not seriously injured and was not transported for medical treatment, Rose said.
Coats remains in the Hood County Jail with bond set at $15,000.
