Historic gift

J.C. Campbell poses with the framed voting results from Hood County’s first election, dated Dec. 25, 1866. At Tuesday’s meeting of the Commissioners Court, Campbell presented the document as a gift to the county. It will eventually hang in the newly restored courthouse.
