HALO adoption day scheduled today

March 9, 2013

The Hood County Animal Lovers Organization (HALO) will have a pet adoption day from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. today at Sandi Beaches Tanning, 1460 Highway 377 East in Granbury, in the Kroger shopping center.

A “special guest” will be a 5-year-old golden retriever named Honey, a victim of animal cruelty that was placed in the custody of Hood County Animal Control Feb. 15 with severe neck injuries.

Honey is “recovering nicely both emotionally and physically and will be ready to greet all her human friends who donated to her care and have sent love and prayers,” according to a HALO organizer.
