Paige Nikol Reiter, who lived in Granbury until five years ago, died Nov. 8 in a one-vehicle accident near Boerne, northwest of San Antonio, according to family members.

A memorial gathering of her family and friends was held Sunday in Boerne where Paige, 20, had been living.

Paige was born Jan. 26, 1992, in a Burleson hospital to Donald Reiter of Boerne, formerly of Granbury, and Tami Reinhart Stuer of Granbury.

Starting this semester, Paige began attending Career Point College of San Antonio, studying to become a medical assistant. Prior to that she spent two years in the Army as a member of the military police.

She had attended Generations Church while in Hood County.

Donald Reiter described his daughter as being a “pistol” when it came to the personality department, and as someone who did more for others than herself.

“She was definitely her father’s daughter. She was a very confident, strong and outspoken person,” Donald said. “She had a beautiful, kind heart and thought more about other people than herself.”

Paige’s step-mother, Carrie Reiter, said, “She was a beautiful person, inside and out, and we’ll miss her dearly.

“It’s been very difficult. She touched a tremendous amount of people.”

Reiter’s great-aunt, Lauren Reiter of Granbury, said Paige had previously lived with her and her husband Biff Reiter for about 4-1/2 months.

“She was just so full of life and fun. She was such a personality,” Lauren Reiter said. “When she was young she was an adorable, cuddly child. She loved to play games. She loved to do outdoor things. We taught her how to water ski. We were very much a part of her life.”

Paige attended Baccus Elementary School, Tolar Elementary School, Oak Woods School and Acton Middle School.

She graduated from Excel Academy in San Antonio. She was active in high school as a cheerleader and in dance, volleyball and softball. She loved music, singing, dancing, cooking and her family.
