deCordova Volunteer Fire Department firefighters had to pull a 12-year-old boy out of mud Saturday near the deCordova marina, but he apparently did not require medical treatment.
That’s according to reports made to deCordova Fire Chief Skip Davenport.
DIGGING FOR FOSSILS
He said the boy and a friend reportedly were on land near the edge of Lake Granbury, digging for fossils in the mud, when his legs got stuck.
After firefighters pulled the boy out of the mud, he was released to his parents, Davenport said.
First responders were called to the location by 911 dispatch at about 7:30 p.m.
