Take a bite for education.
The Granbury ISD Education Foundation is hosting the premier 50 Fellas Foodfest on Saturday, Oct. 19, at 6 p.m. in the Granbury Reunion Grounds Courts Cleveland Show Barn.
The event will feature 50 teams of two men who will prepare and serve a food item in one-bite samples.
Entertainment will be held during the sampling of the foods, which will be judged by popular vote of those in attendance.
“The cooks range from GISD Superintendent Dr. James Largent and men from each school campus to state Senator Brian Birdwell, city councilmen and businessmen in the community,” commented organizer Kelly Garner.
Tickets are $45 each and must be purchased or reserved in advance, and sponsorships are available. Proceeds benefit the education foundation, which will fund innovative teaching grants and the annual academic recognition banquet.
