A man was arrested Saturday, accused of injuring a 4-month-old baby, according to District Attorney Rob Christian.

Robert Douglas Dodds, 38, of the 3000 block of Hilltop Road in Oak Trail Shores, was taken into custody at his home just before 3:30 p.m. by an investigator assigned to the Hood County Child Abuse Task Force, Christian said. The child’s major injuries were bruises to the face and arms, Christian said.

The arrest came after the baby was admitted to Cook Children’s Medical Center Intensive Care Unit in Fort Worth, Christian stated.

“The baby sustained multiple injuries but is expected to recover,” Christian said. “Dobbs is related to the injured child and is currently in the Hood County Jail.”

Dodds was charged with felony injury to a child with intentional bodily injury.
