Construction progressing for new route

It’s full speed ahead for construction on the extension of Loop 567 from Highway 51 to Business 377 (Pearl Street). Precinct 4 Commissioner Steve Berry reports that the extension may open for traffic at the end of March, but more likely in April. Crews are oiling the new roadway near the intersection with Highway 51, waiting for the weather to warm up for asphalt work.
