The Living Christmas Cards event sponsored by Lakeside Baptist Church and held Friday and Saturday evening on the parking lot of the courthouse brought an estimated 3,000 people to the Town Square, according to city officials. Actors and singers made it appear as if the Christmas cards had come to life. Organizers said they plan to make the festival an annual event. In addition to the live performances staged at the “Christmas cards,” there was also a Christmas Artisans Village featuring woodworkers, candle makers, artists and quilters.
