Andrea Bartula watches as her son William, 2, settles into his new car safety seat with help from James Gordon from the Euless Police Department Wednesday at the child car seat clinic at Walmart in Granbury. The clinic, put on by the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Inter-Agency Child Safety Seat Task Force, uncovered several car seats that had either been recalled or damaged – and replaced them free of charge. DPS Senior Trooper Dub Gillum said during the clinic that if parents aren’t sure of the history of their car seat or if it has ever been in a crash, it should be replaced. To set up an appointment to have Gillum inspect your car seat to see if it can be replaced through the task force program, call the Granbury DPS office at 817-579-3337.
