Bluebonnet romp

March 30, 2012

The Sliva family members didn’t have to travel far from their Gemstone Estates home for beautiful bluebonnet photos. Two-year-old Mason (left) and Caden, 10 months, enjoy the surroundings as sister Madelynn, 7, and 6-year-old brother Cooper (obscured by camera) skip through the bluebonnets. Melissa (right) and her husband Chris finally got all four kids together for a family portrait. These bluebonnets are flourishing along the highway divide near the Welcome to Granbury sign on Highway 377 East. Do be wary — watch for traffic and critters on your wildflower endeavors. A photographer had a close encounter with a rattlesnake Sunday afternoon while on a wildflower excursion.
