Benefit organized for mayor

An all-you-can-eat fish fry and auction to benefit Granbury Mayor Rickie Pratt is planned for Saturday, March 30.

Pratt suffered a severe stroke two days after Christmas. He is now in a medical rehabilitation facility in Fort Worth, and faces a long recovery.

The event will be held in the Courts Cleveland Building at Reunion Grounds, 641 Reunion Court.

Volunteers will begin serving fish at 5 p.m. There will be a live auction at 7:30 p.m., and a silent auction will be ongoing. There will be a live band, as well as games and raffles.

Tickets are $10 each and are available at the Visitors Center at Granbury City Hall (817-573-1114) and through the Historic Granbury Merchants Association (HGMA).
