Co-founder of Project-44 and Acton United Methodist Church Outreach Pastor Margret Fields (far left) helps Senior Pastor Chris Mesa present 10 sets of car keys to Rancho Brazos tornado victims during Sunday’s 11 a.m. service. Pastor Mesa blessed the keys in the Consecration of the Keys ceremony following his inspirational sermon aptly titled “The Road Ahead”. With its car giveaways, Project-44 pays for tags and title transfers, and also kicks in $200 to help with insurance costs. Project-44 co-founder Ben Fields, a mechanic, makes sure the cars and trucks are in good working order before they are given to someone in need. Tornado victims were also treated to a catered barbecue lunch at a reception in their honor.
