Winona Leona Jasper of Granbury, 90, passed away Monday, Aug. 26, 2013.
There will be no service at this time.
She was born to Roy Foster and Della Simpkins Foster on March 24, 2013 in Alien, Okla., the second youngest of 11 children. Winona was raised in the area in which she was born.
She moved to Redondo Beach, Calif., with her sister Faye and brother-in-law Edgar Dupus at the age of 19. While there she met and married her beloved husband, Thomas Burks Jasper on May 8, 1942 in Yuma, Ariz., after a short six month courtship.
They resided in various cities of California where they had their three children, Jimmy Albert Jasper, Glenda Gail Jasper and Cheryl Jean Jasper. Winona was a loving mom, and super homemaker moving wherever Tom’s jobs took them, California, New Mexico and Texas.
Winona was preceded in death by her parents, 11 brothers and sisters, and one grandson, Bryan Donathon.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Tom Jasper; her son Jimmy and wife Pat of Toronto, Canada; her daughter, Glenda Donathan of Alamogordo, N.M.; her daughter, Cheryl Murray and husband Bob of Granbury; five grandchildren, Todd, Jenny and David Jasper,; Brett Donathan, Robbin Murray Franklin; 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
