William “Chris” Ashley of Granbury, 61, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Granbury.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013, at Wiley Funeral Home. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 31, at the funeral home.
Memorials: Memorials may be made to Mission Granbury for victims of the tornado.
Chris was born Oct. 31, 1951, in Tyler, to John Charles Ashley and Billie Joyce Slaughter Ashley. He married Sherry Ford, Dec. 4, 2003, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a project manager at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. He thought the world of his boss, Rudy.
He loved to work in his yard and take car trips with his wife who loved him dearly. Chris loved spending time with his sister, family, grandbabies and extended family. He was dearly loved and will be missed greatly.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles Thomas Ashley.
Survivors: Wife, Sherry Ashley of Granbury; daughters, Jamie Nicole Ashley and Jennifer Michelle Ashley, both of Katy, Texas; step-daughter, Jennifer Taylor of McKinney, Texas; grandchildren, Jackson Pogue and Presley Pogue; sister, Charlotte Victorero and husband, Pedro of Mont Belveiu, Texas, niece, Denette Palomino and husband, Mike; nephew, Bryan Victorero; great nieces, Karrah Campbell, Anyssa Palomino, Jennifer Victorero, Paige Victorero; and great-nephew, Ean Karabanoff.
