Paul Robert Loth Sr. passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at his home in Granbury. He was born in Tegal, Indonesia on March 7, 1929 to Frederik and Eva Loth. He lived in Indonesia and Holland before moving to the United States in 1962.
He worked as an engineer around the world and settled in Granbury to assist with the Comanche Peak power plant in 1988.
He was preceded in death by his wives Tillie, Betty and Andrea, by his parents, and by a son, Fred.
He is survived by his children Margaret of Bakersfield, Calif., Paul Jr. of Granbury; Joey of Houston; Ginny of Lubbock; Jack of Leesburg, Fla.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his brother Jules of Clermont, Fla.; his sister Eve of the Netherlands; and his companion of 12 years, Peggy Miller.
He lived, and loved, was curious, independent and did things “His Way.” The Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule were his compass. At the end of his life he was at peace and had no remaining unfulfilled desires.
A reception in his honor was held at his home on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012 from 2-4 p.m.
