Paul Edward Painter of Granbury, 78, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, in Granbury.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Acton Baptist Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park in Fort Worth. Visitation was Friday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Paul was born May 5, 1934, in Gilmer to Thomas and Gyneth Case Painter. He married Roberta Faye Walden, May 25, 1957, in San Antonio. Paul served in the U.S. Army and later worked and retired from General Dynamics.
He had served as the fire chief for the North Hood County VFD. He was the former chief of the Everman Fire Department and had also served as the mayor of Everman.
Survivors: Daughters, Theresa Marie Painter McGinnis of Granbury, Chris Ann Stokes and husband, Billy, of Kopperl; son, Martin Edward Painter of Granbury; grandchildren, Michael, Taylor and wife, Amanda, Sarah, Mac, Casey; great-grandchildren, Kaya, Riley, Mac Jr.; brother, Marvin Painter and wife, Lucille, of Rowlett; numerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends and additional family.
