If Omarie had a motto, it would be, “Bloom where you’re planted.” She surrounded herself and her family with natural beauty indoors and outdoors. She worked tirelessly in the yard, no matter where she was living, to create a space of color, light and serenity. After a couple of years, her home was the envy of the neighborhood. She created the same magic indoors with plants, dried arrangements and seasonal decorations.
She shared her gift with the Fort Worth Garden Club, the Granbury Garden Club, the Granbury Women’s Club, Granbury Shanley House, the Granbury Square celebrations and the Granbury Opera House.
She loved her association with the First United Methodist Church and the staff and residents at Waterview.
Omarie, the foundation and matriarch of the family, will be desperately missed by her husband, Boyd House; daughters, Alice Chase, Betty McCreight, Jane Vaughn; grandchildren, Scott McCreight, Karen Hoisington, Jenny Olson, Robby Chase, Kathy Molina, Brooke Taddia, Alex Vaughn; in-laws, Bruce Chase, David Housington, Travis Olson, Marcelo Molina, Ryan Taddia; great-grandchildren, Bennett and Johnny Hoisington, Hunter and Allie Olson, Tyler and Jacob Molina, Josephine Taddia; extended family and many, many friends.
Martin’s Funeral Home made arrangements.
