June Thichava of Granbury, 88, passed away Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, in Flower Mound.
Service: 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, at the First United Methodist Church in Granbury. Burial: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Memorials: First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Granbury Senior Center.
June was born Sept. 16, 1925, in Chicago, Ill. to Lloyd and Dura Gorrell Latch. She married Elmer J. Thichava on June 19, 1948, in Chicago.
She was a clerk for the State of Illinois, a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, charter member of the Daughters of the Confederate, Granbury Gardeners, Chapel Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church and a volunteer at the Granbury Senior Center.
June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Aug. 29, 2013; and sisters, Janice Sherer and Dean Coffer.
Survivors: Son, Jerry E. Thichava and wife, Cindy; daughter, Gail Goodrich and husband, Philip; grandchildren, Katherine, Judith, Nicholas and Nathan; brother, Dr. Lloyd E. Latch and wife, Connie; several nieces and nephews.
