Jane Marque Brown of Irving, 78, passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012 in Hurst. Graveside service was at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation was Tuesday at Holly Hills.
Jane was born July 24, 1934 in Warsaw, N.C. to Marvin and Dora Ellen Patton Godfrey. She married Connie Edward Brown on Nov. 20, 1955 in Durant, Okla. She retired from Superior Circuits after 30 years of service and worked in her church in several capacities. She enjoyed playing and winning at ping pong. Jane had lived in Granbury for 10 years and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 3, 2002; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Aubrey Hampton; and sister-in-law, Linda Godfrey.
Survivors: Daughters, Melody Brown of Irving, Debbie Blythe of Newark, Connie Malone Hoop of Arlington and Linda Brown of Humble; son, William Brown of Las Vegas; brother, Michael Godfrey of Parker; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
