Dorthalene Archie of Granbury, 86, passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, in Granbury.
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at Wiley Funeral Home. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at the funeral home.
Dorthalene was born May 2, 1926, in Ballinger, Texas, to Ardell and Edith Carlton Richards. She married Edwin Archie, Nov. 6, 1945, in Ballinger.
She had lived in Granbury since 1976 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Granbury. She worked at Mitchell’s Department Store until it closed. Dorthalene was a member of the Eastern Star and a charter member of the Granbury Gardeners.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, D.W. Richards.
Survivors: Son, Dan Archie of Fort Worth; daughters, Carolyn Archie of Granbury, Pam Baird and husband, H.L., of Stillwater, Okla.; grandchildren, Courtney Cullum, Taylor Holland and husband, Chris, Danny Archie, Justin Archie, Ashley Archie, Jody Pflager, Edwin Pflager, II; great-grandchildren, Raelyn O’Dell, Triston Holland, Madison Archie; brother, Carroll W. Richards of Kermit; and several nieces and nephews.
