Donald W. Goolsby, 79, of Granbury passed away in his home in Granbury with his family at his side.
Service was at 11 a.m. Thursday, at Granbury Church of God. Interment: Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation was Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Goolsby was born June 21, 1933 in Lamesa to Jeames Burl “Jim” Goolsby and Eunice May Jackson Goolsby. He attended Lamesa High School and married Ramona Jane York on Sept. 12, 1954 in Lamesa.
Don loved his family, cherished his grandkids, and served the Lord at Granbury Church of God. He followed the Texas Rangers, the Cowboys and the Mavericks and enjoyed watching sports on TV. He liked listening to music. He sold used cars and supported his family and will be missed.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Eunice, five brothers, J.L., Herman, Laroy, Junior, and William, and daughter-in-law, Cynthia.
Survived: Wife, Ramona Goolsby of Granbury; Sons, Ricky and Peggy Goolsby of Graford, Danny and Tricia Goolsby of Mineral Wells, David and Melanie Goolsby of Granbury; 13 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren; sister, Alta Shortes of Granbury and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were by Wiley Funeral Home.
