Dolores Schroeder Gossett, of Granbury and formerly of Lipan, an adored wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away Feb. 7, 2013.
Funeral: “Celebration of Life” mass at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in Granbury on Feb. 23, 2013 at 11 a.m.
Memorials: Brazos Pregnancy Clinic in Granbury.
Dolores was born in Columbus, Neb. on March 19, 1924 to William and Anna Schroeder. She married the love of her life F.A. Gossett Jr. on June 10, 1943 in Columbus, Neb. Together they raised three children in Fremont, Neb. While in Fremont she was a hospital grey lady for 25 years.
After her husband retired in 1984, they moved to St. George, Utah. There she spent nine years enjoying her life-long love of golf with her husband and friends. In 1994 she moved with her husband to Lipan to be near family.
Dolores was a beautiful ballroom dancer and together with her husband taught ballroom dancing for 40 years in three states.
Dolores will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her laugh and her love for her husband and family.
Survivors: Dolores is survived by her devoted husband of 69 years, F. A. Gossett, Jr. and her three children and their spouses; F. A. Gossett III and Cathy of Omaha, Neb., Nancy and Bob Nelson of Pensacola, Fla., and DeDe and Rod Litke of Lipan, two sisters, Vernetta Heckman of Lake Havasau, Ariz. and Evelyn Galate of Kansas City, Mo., her eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
