Diane Charlotte Austin

Diane Charlotte Austin of Granbury, 67, passed away Friday, Feb. 8, 2013 in Granbury after a lifelong struggle of being married to a musician and a hard fought battle with cancer.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 at the Indian Harbor Club House in Granbury.

Diane was born Aug. 30, 1945 in Los Angeles, Calif. to Don and Charlotte Rettler Doss. She graduated from school in Los Angeles. She was an extremely talented artist in stained glass, drawings, quilting, photography and a prolific reader who practically lived at the libraries in California and Granbury. She loved horses and dogs. Diane worked for many years in the retail liquor business in Granbury. She will be missed.

Survivors: Loving husband of 30 years, Ray L. Austin; cousins, John Maertz and Linda Van Holm from of Atlanta, Ga.; mother-in-law, Evelyn Turnbow of Cisco; and a large extended family and many friends from all over the country.
