Deborah Michelle Chase Ewert passed after a long battle with illness on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 in Jacksonville, N.C.

Deborah was born in Sacramento, Calif., July 10, 1959. She had a loving spirit, bold and bright. She enjoyed reading, swimming, antiquing, art, traveling and music.

Deborah was always a social butterfly and life of the party everywhere she went. She was overfilled with love for her family and loved ones. She was the most loving mother, daughter, wife, sister, aunt and grandmother.

She spent most of her life in the Metroplex and lived in Jacksonville, N.C. the past two years. Giving up was not in her vocabulary. Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ carried her through and she is now with him and his glory. May she rest in peace in the arms of her father.

It was her love for her husband and special times spent with family that she enjoyed most. She will be loved and missed by her family and friends.

Memorial Service: A memorial service celebrating Deborah’s life will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Acton United Methodist Church in Granbury.

In addition to her devoted husband Jay Ewert, she is survived by her mother Patricia Kudrin Sharp of Granbury; her father John Sprague Chase of Fort Worth; her beloved sister Cheryl and husband Van Griffith of Granbury; brother Chad Chase of Fort Worth; loving sons Shawn Fort and wife Bethany of New Mexico, Chase Ford of Huntsville, Chris Ford and wife April of Huntsville, and daughter Janelle Ewert; grandchildren Ethan and Grace Fort of New Mexico; Aunts Carol Morrison, Vassa White, Hida “Monte” Kudrin, Linda Jordan, Margie Weaver, uncles Nick Lekanoff Sr,and Bill Weaver; Neices Crystal Griffith Chavez, Candace Griffith Martinez, and Lillian Griffith of Granbury, great-niece and -nephew: Kyleigh Chavez and Camden Chavez of Granbury.

She is also survived by wonderful and loving nieces, nephews and cousins in Texas and Alaska too numerous to name.
