Cynthia Jane Body


On the morning of Jan. 15, 2013, our precious mother, wife and friend, Cynthia Jane Body, went to her eternal home.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service: 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013, at the Langdon Center Concert Hall, 300 East Bridge Street, Granbury, Texas 76048.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cynthia Body Art Scholarship Fund, c/o First National Bank of Granbury.

Cynthia was born March 15, 1949, in Fort Worth, daughter of Sheldon and Dophne Winn Larue Olmsted. She was a graduate of Tarleton State University.

Cynthia lived her life on a beautiful pallet of color. As a teacher, provider and caregiver, Cynthia has blessed the lives of so many in this community and beyond through sharing her deep passion for the arts.

She was a loving wife for 39 years, mother to her best friend and confidant, and the proudest grandmother you’d ever meet. Cynthia will forever live on in our hearts as well as the canvas that is this community.

Survivors: Husband, Michael J. Body; daughter, Tiffany J. Griffin, son-in-law, John Griffin; two precious granddaughters, Mylee and McKenna; mother-in-law, Georgina Body; and sister-in-law, Paulette Beaumale’.
