C.M. ‘Skip’ Robinson III


C.M. “Skip” Robinson III of deCordova, 79, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2013, in deCordova.

Memorial service: 2 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2013, at Acton United Methodist Church in Acton.

Memorials: Acton United Methodist Church or charity of choice.

Mr. Robinson was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Corpus Christi, Texas, to Cornelius Marion Robinson, Jr. and Velma O’Neil Robinson. He married Barbara Kathryn Best, July 23, 1955, in Corpus Christi.

He was a deCordova resident for 13 years and a member of Acton United Methodist Church. Skip retired from PPG Industries, Chemical Division, after 36 years as an accountant. He was on the board of directors at the Atascosita Country Club and deCordova Country Club.

He was a devoted sports fan and followed the Rangers, Mavericks and Cowboys. He enjoyed coaching both sons in any sport they chose. Skip was an avid golfer and loved being with his grandchildren.

Survivors: Wife of 57 years, Barbara Robinson of deCordova; children, Mike Robinson and wife, Suzanne, of West Lake, La., Ryn Robinson Makowski and husband, Paul, of Peyton, Colo., Doug Robinson and wife, Cheryl, of Keller; grandchildren, Erin, Shelby, Brandon, Mikey and Cayden Robinson; sister, Sue Robinson Harlan and husband, Charles, of San Diego, Texas; and several nieces and nephews.
