Betty Rae McCuller, 83, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, in Granbury.
Graveside service: 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013 at Cresthaven Cemetery,Claremont, Ill.
Mrs. McCuller was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Lawrenceville, Ill., to Burl and Myrtle Houchin Stevenson. She was an RN and an Intensive Care Nurse. She attained her Master’s Degree from Eastern Illinois University. She was involved in many elderly care activities. Betty advanced to a Nursing Home Inspector for the Illinois Department of Health.
In 1984, she moved to Dallas and in 1988, to Granbury. She became the Director of Nurses at Trinity Mission Health and Rehab in Granbury. She will be missed by numerous people she helped in her lifetime.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Gallagher Sr. and William McCuller, great- grandchild, brothers, Leroy Stevenson, Eugene Stevenson; and treasured friend, “Curly.”
Survivors: Children, Susan Fuller Kneipp (Kurt) of Mt. Carmel, Ill., Patricia Wynne (Andrew)of Henderson, Ky., Lisa Gallagher of Dallas, Roberta McCleave (Brian)of Olney, Ill., Jane Mayo (Greg)of Cary, N.C., Jesse Gallagher (Kim) of Calhoun, Ill., Robert Gallagher (Erna) of Granbury; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister; two brothers and treasured friends, “Razzy” and “Baxter.”
