Allen Dale Newman left this earth to be with his Lord and Savior in Heaven on Jan. 8, 2013. He died in a Fort Worth hospital after a long illness and other complications.
Allen was born in Fort Worth on March 18, 1955 to Robert and Doris Newman and was the eldest of 10 children.
A memorial service will be held in his honor at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at the Pecan Baptist Church in Pecan Plantation, Granbury, Texas. Allen was survived by his partner in life, Janice McMoran; the light of his life, daughter Madison Grace “Gracie” Terry; son, Joshua Key; mother, Doris Patterson Newman; lifelong friend, Terri Golike; sisters, Pamela Newman, Samantha Newman and husband Jim, Carolyn Newman, and Teresa Newman; brothers Cheyenne Newman and Curtis Newman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Allen Newman, and brothers, Michael Newman, Roger Newman, and Tony Newman.
Allen, along with his close family, made the decision to make the ultimate gift of his body to the UNT Health Science Center’s Living Legacy Program.
