With dry conditions and winds gusting up to 35 mph behind a cold front, a large portion of North Texas – including Hood County – is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook with elevated fire weather conditions, according to the National Weather Service. Winds are expected to decrease starting after 8 p.m. Use extreme caution outdoors to avoid causing any sparks or flames that could cause a fire.
