Vehicle stopped after report of possible gun

August 17, 2013

Four people in a vehicle were briefly detained on the night of Aug. 4 as Granbury police responded to a 911 call reporting a possible gun seen sticking out the window, but no firearms were found, according to Police Chief Mitch Galvan.

The vehicle was pulled over by an officer about 11 p.m. on Highway 377 East, according to emergency scanner traffic.

“No one was arrested,” Galvan said. “(The) complainant thought he saw something shiny being held by a rear passenger that he thought was possibly a gun. No weapons were found, and all four were released.”
