A Crime Stoppers tip led to the Dec. 27 arrest of a 32-year-old Tolar man, accused of a felony count of indecency with a child by sexual contact, according to District Attorney Rob Christian.
Members of the Hood County Crimes Against Children Task Force combined with members of the Sheriff’s Office located Johnathan Wayne Williams at a Granbury hotel, Christian said.
Williams was arrested after he gave a statement to investigators, the district attorney added.
He remained in the Hood County Jail as of press time on a $25,000 bond.
A 32-year-old Millsap man on Dec. 17 pleaded guilty to arson in district court in Granbury and was sentenced to 12 years in prison, District Attorney Rob Christian said.
Ronnie Floyd Starks stole a vehicle in Parker County and set it on fire before abandoning it in Hood County, south of Tolar, according to Fire Marshal Ray Wilson.
Starks was arrested by a Hood County deputy on Sept. 5 while he was incarcerated in the Tarrant County Jail.
A 20-year-old Weatherford man on Dec. 16 pleaded guilty to sexual assault of a child and received an 8-year probated sentence in district court, Christian said.
Ramon Anthony Manzano, who knew the victim prior to the offense taking place, was 19 at that time, Christian said. The female victim was 15.
Manzano had been arrested on March 14 and booked into the Hood County Jail.
