Radio interference is Crime of Week
A string of recent incidents in which someone used a radio to interfere with fire band communications within Hood County is the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.
The incidents have occurred multiple times over the past two months, Sheriff’s Office Captain Jerry East said.
Granbury Fire Chief Darrell Grober described the noises heard as “mostly playing around” and sounded like they may have been made by a younger person.
“They are saying something, but you can’t make out what they’re saying,” Grober said.
A conviction on such an offense could result in up to two years in state jail, with a possible fine of up to $10,000, East noted. Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers at 817-573-TIPS or go online (hoodcountycrimestoppers.com).
