A 31-year-old Hood County man who was arrested by Granbury Police on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant now faces a felony drug charge because of a pill found in his pocket at the Hood County Jail, Lieutenant Cliff Andrews said.
Matthew Clint Jondle, of the 5600 block of Van Horn Drive in the Canyon Creek subdivision southeast of Granbury, was taken into custody last Saturday just before 10 p.m. in the 3800 block of Highway 377 East in response to a disturbance call, Andrews noted.
“The subject was arrested for a Class C warrant for a seatbelt violation. The initial call was in reference to a person being threatened,” Andrews said. “A single pill of Prednisone was found in his pocket during intake (at the jail).”
That discovery led to Jondle being charged with a third-degree felony count of prohibited substance in a correctional facility, Andrews said.
Jondle was released from the Hood County Jail after posting $2,000 bond.
