A tip led to the arrest last Friday of a 41-year-old resident of the Laguna Tres subdivision who is charged with felony possession of child pornography, District Attorney Rob Christian said.

Gig Martin Rohmfeld II, of the 300 block of Casas Del Sur Street, was taken into custody at about 5:30 p.m. after giving a statement to investigators, Christian stated. A tip from the Dallas Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit was received by the Hood County Crimes Against Children Task Force, the D.A. said.

Christian said the case involved “possible images of child pornography connected to an address in Granbury.”

He added, “Investigators were able to search and find images of child pornography at that address. The charge is a third-degree felony.”

Rhomfeld was released from the Hood County Jail after posting $25,000 bond.

Christian noted that additional deputies from the Sheriff’s Office assisted in the investigation.
