Granbury City Manager Wayne McKethan said this week that the patio approved by the City Council has been completed behind the Gordon House at the Langdon Center on East Pearl Street.
McKethan said the picture-perfect Langdon complex with its chapel near the town square is popular for weddings, but there was little space available for wedding receptions. His solution was to build a patio.
McKethan said that the patio will also be good for use during concerts and art shows.
“We have a lot of people who really feel that they don’t want to put out as much money for the Conference Center,” the city manager said.
McKethan said that the city has a large tent that will be used if rain threatens a scheduled event on the patio, and that there would be no charge for the patio.
“It will be a great back-up,” he said.
