Killeen man, 22, arrested on child sex assault charge

November 30, 2013

A 22-year-old Killeen man is in custody, charged with sexually assaulting a 3-year-old girl in a case being handled by Hood County’s Crimes Against Children Task Force, according to District Attorney Rob Christian.

Trey Ethan Boone was arrested on Nov. 13 in Killeen. Christian said he requested the assistance of the Texas Rangers.

“The Rangers were able to interview the suspect, and after that interview, an arrest warrant was obtained,” the D.A. stated. “The Killeen (police) and the Rangers later arrested Boone, who was on parole for a different offense.”

He noted that Boone knew the victim prior to the alleged incident.

“The Task Force received a report of aggravated sexual assault of a child on Oct. 22, 2013,” Christian said. “The alleged incident(s) occurred in Granbury, but the suspect resides in Killeen.”

Boone was transferred from the Bell County Jail in Killeen to the Hood County Jail and will face a felony charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child and a parole violation, Christian said.
