Copper wire with a replacement cost of $1,250 was stolen from an electrical substation at the entrance to the Lakewood Hills subdivision just east of Granbury.

It is the Crime Stoppers Crime of the Week.

The theft occurred on either Jan. 11 or 12 when a chain was removed to enter a gate at the substation.

One hundred feet of copper ground wire was cut, pulled out of the ground and stolen.
